Parent Coaching

Coaching is one-to-one support, customized to your unique family's parenting needs and concerns. I will help you understand your child's behavior challenges. I will teach you effective de-escalation techniques for responding to your child's explosive behaviors, and a proactive model to reduce everyday challenging behaviors, and strengthen your relationship with your child while they also learn skills like emotion-regulation, flexibility, and problem solving. It would be my honor to be a part of your and your family's journey as you transform your parenting.
Parenting is freaking hard. Parenting a child with behavioral challenges and a highly sensitive nervous system is another level. You do not have to do it alone. I am here to join your village so you receive the support you deserve.

I Am Here To Help

Wouldn’t it be nice if someone was there to guide you through implementing a discipline strategy? If someone could help you brainstorm when you feel stuck? How big of a difference would it make if you knew that someone was cheering you on and reassured you that you’re doing a good job it just really is that hard?

I am offering exactly that. To be your coach, your mentor, your cheerleader. My  priority is that you receive the support you need to become the parent you aspire to be.

What Not to Expect

My Approach to Coaching

RESPECT, EMPATHY, COLLABORATION….and a whole lot of COMPASSION

Parents do the best they can with the skills they have. As a mom who went through the process of shifting my parenting mindset, I have a lot of compassion for you. Change is hard. And change is possible.

My goal is to understand your story and your concerns. I will be transparent about what I am able to do, and where my limitations are. I teach the Collaborative Problem Solving® approach, a relational discipline that prioritizes the parent-child relationship, as the catalyst for healing, and change. I apply the same collaborative philosophy to my work with you.
I draw on my experience as a crisis counselor and years of teaching first responders de-escalation techniques. You get to enjoy the perks of working with a coach who is also an actress; role-playing is my specialty…also a crucial tool for bringing theory to practice.

I practice what I teach; Everything  I share with you have been well researched, proven to be effective in a variety of settings (homes, schools, residential settings, juvenile detention, etc.), and have been field tested by me in my home for many years.

The goal is not just to reduce problem behaviors but to increase the wellbeing and quality of life for all.
